I really wanted to enjoy the beautiful day yesterday, and I realized I hadn't taken any self-portraits in awhile and I felt I needed to. I needed to speak.



p.s. I need to get me a wireless shutter release. This self-timer thing and crawling is getting ridiculous. lol

Behind the Scenes.

I had a big shoot on Tuesday, April 6th. For this shoot, it was quite exciting because I had made the dress. (Plus, it was my first location shoot with my new lighting) :)

It was a great day and I had an awesome team to work with. I was also able to get my lovely roommate, Diana to take 'Behind the Scenes' pictures. *Next time, we are going to try video :) *

Ballerina test shoot

This is the first of my two big test shoots being done in March. It was a ballerina shoot that I had wanted to do for quite some time, but after a long time planning I was finally able to meet up with Rachel.

a special thank you

I want to say thank you to Nirrimi. She is only 17 and is such an amazing photographer. This time, it wasn't just her photos that moved me. It was her eloquent flow of words that brought tears to my eyes. She was able to say what I could only ever feel. I could relate so well to everything she wrote, but this paragraph really hit home for me, as I'm sure it could anyone who is living life chasing their dream.

"i've learnt that to make dreams come true, you have to be obsessed. truly, utterly obsessed. i think of obsession as passion squared, and if you have passion for something people will see that. if you go through an entire day without doing something towards your dream, you're not obsessed enough to make it happen."

Photography is just that for me. It is my obsession. My passion. The thing I cannot go on one day with out. It's what drives me. I really can not imagine what I'd be without it....

There is so much I want to do.
I want to inspire...
I want teach & help others with photography.
I want to be someone to look up to.
I want to be a friend from far away.
I want to love and be loved.
I want to dream and dream big.
I want to live.

Oh MARCH!

March is going to be such an amazing/busy month for me!

I'll be in Arizona for a week. I'm leaving on the 13th. I am SOO excited! I'll be seeing some family friends that I haven't seen since I was 9. It'll be a great time. Lots of photos will be taken. :)

I'll also be making a large purchase this month on lighting. I'm really excited to start experimenting and start doing beauty shoots. :)

I have 2 large portfolio test shoots planned (so far) for this month. Both of which I've been planning for months. I AM SO EXCITED! I hope everything works out the way I have them pictured in my head. But, either way, it'll be good experience for me.

In the mean time, I will continue doing my 52 week project.

Speaking of which... here is my week 9. :)

WEEK 8

I had a busy day today. It felt good to get so many things done and be productive. :)

One of them being my week 8 pictures. I didn't really know what I wanted to do for this week. So, I played around a bit. :)

New Website! New Blog!

Hello everyone! As you can see, I updated my website, again! I just couldn't stand not being able to have a blog included with my website and my pictures panning all over the place. haha.

So, I re-designed. Please bare with me, this is a very rough version. I just needed a way for my images to be viewed more clearly and a better blog. I will hopefully be adding more graphics and spicing up the website design. If you have any suggestions please feel free to let me know. ALSO, if something isn't working. Tell me! I would like to know so I can fix it.
